My Name is Alison and I am a Visual Arts Teacher, Artist, Photographer, and the owner of Studio Garage Art.

I am passionate about Arts Education and experiences, particularly for Pre School and Primary aged students.
My life, other than being a mum to my amazing three little kids, is focused on making the world a better place through Visual Arts and creative expression.

The philosophy behind starting Studio Garage Art is that I believe there is a need to provide creative experiences within our community via a fun, safe, and welcoming environment. In our studio, children can develop an understanding that ‘there are no mistakes in art’ and whatever they create is valued and appreciated.

In a world where anxiety in our youth is on the rise, I believe that the Creative Arts space has the ability to provide students with an opportunity to express themselves, gain confidence and not be concerned that they may get something wrong.

My classes and workshops are designed to provide children with experiences that allow for freedom of expression whilst learning about artists and developing artmaking skills. They will respond to the world around them through a variety of forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media techniques.

Ultimately, children are invited to have fun and feel a sense of freedom to express themselves within the Studio Garage Art environment whilst also learning to be a responsible artist and practice our artmaking sustainably with the protection of our earth in mind.
