Little Artists: Expression Sessions and Art inspired by Mabel Juli.
Pre-School and Kindergarten:
3 to 6 year olds

Little artists will have the opportunity to explore and play using a variety of artmaking materials during this session. They will experiment with collage, acrylic paint, fabric paints, natural and recycled materials and Magiclay to respond to the world around them. For these sessions, we will also be creating materials to work with inspired by the artmaking of Aboriginal Artist Mabel Juli.

Participants will have at least three creations to bring home .

• Sessions are for two hours with a half hour morning tea break.

• Children are to bring their own morning tea (no nuts please) water bottle and hat.

• Please dress your child in clothing that can potentially get messy.

• Parents are welcome to stay or drop off their child.

• Maximum in class is 10 children.

Freestyle Art!
Primary:
7 to 12 year olds

Young Artists will have the opportunity to choose the material/s they would like to work with. They may like to experiment with spray paint, acrylic paint, drawing materials, collage, printmaking techniques, or even approaches to artmaking inspired by abstract expressionism involving throwing paint! The options are endless. When you book your child in, please nominate what they may like to use so I can ensure I have all materials in stock at the time of their workshop. If your child isn’t sure what they may like to create, there will be lots of options to explore when they attend the session.

• Sessions are for three hours with a half hour morning tea break (depending on the group of children, we may have an extra break too).

• Children are to bring their own morning/afternoon tea (no nuts please) water bottle and hat.

• Please dress your child in clothing that can potentially get messy.

• Maximum in class is 10 children.

Gelli Plate Printmaking.
Primary:
7 to 12 year olds

Gelli plate printing is an incredibly fun and rewarding way to create a series of printed artworks. Participants will explore the natural environment for inspiration and also materials to use in the creating of their prints. Acrylic paint is placed on to the Gelli plate before textured items are pressed in to the surface. Artists then place paper down on the Gelli plate and rub with the palm of their hand before revealing their amazing print! The possibilities with this technique are endless! They will also create a larger artwork involving a series of prints on the one surface.

• Please dress your child in clothing that can potentially get messy.

Tile and Glass Painting.
Primary:
7 - 12 year olds

Young Artists will have the opportunity to paint a ceramic tile and a glass vase using glass and tile paint whilst being inspired by a variety of landscape and still-life artists.

In addition, they will create a series of miniature canvases to compliment their glass and tile work.

• Sessions are for three hours with a half hour morning tea break (depending on the group of children, we may have an extra break too).

• Children are to bring their own morning/afternoon tea (no nuts please) water bottle and hat.

• Please dress your child in clothing that can potentially get messy.

• Maximum in class is 10 children.
